From the back road to the inner city, the Ram 2500 is a versatile workhorse capable of conquering any terrain. It offers a superior level of power compared to other trucks in its class, not to mention a wealth of on-board bells and whistles that define luxury.
Read below to get an idea of what this year's models have to offer and the many ways in which our Ram dealership can adapt them to suit your needs.
Whether you're hauling heavy loads, towing your favorite boat, or simply commuting from work and home there's a Ram 2500 for everyone in this year's release. Its large selection of trims is unparalleled, offering a total of seven different levels with various cabin sizes and bed lengths to choose from. Read below for summaries and key features of the Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Power Wagon Rebel, Power Wagon, Longhorn, and Limited.
Standout Features:
Being the most cost-effective of the lot, you might expect the Ram 2500 Tradesman to offer limited choice with respect to color and configuration options. If so, prepare to have those expectations exceeded. This trim is actually incredibly flexible, more so than its costlier counterparts in some cases. Take the cab and drivetrain for example. You've got the option of a Regular Cab or Crew Cab with 4x2 or 4x2 configurations. The Crew Cab models are available with multiple bed lengths - both 6'4" and 8'.
And as for power, there's plenty of that to be enjoyed, too. The 2024 Tradesman boasts a high-caliber 6.4L V8 Gas engine capable of hitting 410 horsepower at 5600 RPM. 429 lb-ft of torque at 4000 RPM plus a maximum towing capacity of 15,620 lbs should be more than enough to haul your boat, or trailer.
Standout Features:
If you liked the last trim but are in search of a bit more, the 2500 Big Horn is worth considering.
The main advantage of going with this trim over the Tradesman is the additional standard features you'll get. Power mirrors are no longer an optional upgrade and instead come as part of the basic package. The same goes for keyless entry, while several other optional enhancements, such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, premium sound system, and heated front seats, can be added for a small fee.
Looks-wise, you'll notice the 2024 Ram 2500 Big Horn stands slightly taller than its counterpart, thanks to larger 18-inch aluminum wheels. It's available in just as many colors, configurations, and drivetrains, and delivers the same level of performance with respect to horsepower, towing, and torque.
Standout Features:
The Ram 2500 Laramie looks somewhat similar to the Big Horn, but a test drive in one will quickly reveal some key differences. Prime among these is standard features. You get a wealth of new ones in this trim, including HD radio, a premium sound system, a Wi-Fi hotspot, smart device integration, a power passenger seat, a power driver seat, and remote engine start.
A new Cab option also joins the party - the Mega Cab comes with extra cabin space to better accommodate passengers and cargo. The truck can haul more across the board, from 6,431 lbs with the basic Crew cab to 7,042 lbs in the Mega Cab model. It maintains the same 6.4L V8 Gas engine as its counterparts and continues the Big Horn's precedented 18-inch aluminum wheels.
Leather seats and a heated steering wheel make the 2500 Laramie the most comfortable we've showcased so far, and with characteristic woodgrain interior trim details, it's also one of the best-looking.
Standout Features:
With a name like 'Power Wagon Rebel', you'd hope that this next truck on our list packs a punch. It sure does, honing a 6.4L V8 gas engine capable of delivering more horsepower and torque - 410 at 5600 RPM and 429 lb-ft at 4000 RPM, respectively. Its 14,760 lbs worth of towing capacity and 6,862 lbs curb weight can handle just about any load you throw at it, whether that's a cabin full of riders, a hefty trailer, or both. Another important differentiator to note with this trim is an optional engine upgrade from the 2500's standard offering to a 6.7L turbo diesel.
The extra performance delivered by the 2024 Power Wagon Rebel doesn't come at the expense of convenience. Drivers still enjoy a host of great features as standard, from power mirrors, adaptive cruise control, and climate control to HD radio, smart device integration, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Standout Features:
As could be expected, the Ram 2500 Power Wagon is very similar to its similarly named counterpart. The main difference lies under the hood, where a 6.4L V8 gas engine is the only option. That's not necessarily a compromise, though. All things considered; this truck delivers above-average performance in every respect. As a 4x4, it can tow large loads with minimal effort. It also has impressive payload capabilities, making it a great choice for anyone who needs serious hauling power in a compact package.
The Ram 2500 Power Wagon's tactical capabilities can be enhanced with the Bed Utility Group - an optional package that adds LED bed lighting, a MOPAR deployable bed step, and a MOPAR spray in bedliner for a small fee.
Standout Features:
Remember the Big Horn? We'd like to introduce you to its even-fancier cousin. The 2500 Longhorn offers more creature comforts, upgraded features, and a higher level of sophistication through and through. While the Big Horn is great for anyone seeking an all-purpose work truck, the Longhorn is perfect for those who want something luxurious that they can use for both work and leisure.
Comfort and luxury upgrades abound in the Ram 2500 Longhorn, including cooled and heated front seats, a premium sound system, remote start technology, power-adjustable mirrors, leather-trimmed seating, and remote start for those cold winter mornings. The cabin's reduced count of five seats gives riders more rear-seat legroom, rear-seat headroom, and space to store bags and other belongings. If that's not enough, you can always attach a trailer to the back and tow 15,860 lbs worth of cargo.
Standout Features:
Lastly, we have the Ram 2500 Limited. It can be thought of as the pinnacle of Ram's 2024 2500 series. It will certainly cost you a lot more, but that isn't without plenty of added value. We're talking everything from 20-inch aluminum wheels, leather seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel to a standard blind spot monitor and cross-traffic alert system. That exceptional offering can be further enhanced by the Limited Level 1 Equipment Group package, which adds a slew of upgrades, such as satin carbon wheels with chrome inserts, a surround-view camera system, a 12-inch touchscreen display, LED bed lighting, power deployable running boards, and RamBox Cargo Management System.
The 2500 Limited comes with a standard 6.7L Turbo inline-6 diesel engine that logs an impressive 370 horsepower at 2800 RPM. Oh, and torque? 850 lb-ft at 1700 RPM is enough for any kind of heavy-duty task. It's also nearly double that of the Tradesman if you haven't been taking notes.
