Legends don't die - they just retire. That’s what Dodge's iconic Charger will be doing this year, ending a long run of excellence. The road-commanding ride has dominated its market since being introduced in 1966 and has only gotten better with time. Now in its final season, the 2023 Dodge Charger is more powerful and stylish than ever, making it a must-have for any classic car fan.
Patriot CDJR of Pryor has one of the largest selections of this iconic muscle car in all of Oklahoma. Read below to learn more about what's available across these trim options and how we can help you get behind the wheel of your very own piece of automotive history.
You can expect a high-performing vehicle regardless of which Charger trim you go with. Speed and power are innate to the car's concept. However, there's certainly a scale worth noting - this year's series features several different types of engines, from 3.6L V6 gas to 6.2-liter V-8. They'll generate anywhere between 300 and over 800 ponies, depending on the model. Many 2023 Chargers come with Performance Pages and Launch Control abilities to make sure you get off the line as quickly and efficiently as possible.
At first glance, the Charger carries a timeless look that is unmistakably Dodge. The classic silhouette with its long hood and short rear deck has been kept intact over the years and this time around it's given new life by way of color. Selection is dictated by trim level, but there's something here for everyone including:
All coming with the Last Call plaque stating where they were built, the STX, GT, R/T, Scat Pack, Scat Pack Widebody, SRT Hellcat Widebody Jailbreak, and SRT Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak are ready for you at Patriot CDJR of Pryor. Lets take a look at what the different trim levels have to offer.
The SXT is the most cost-effective of the Charger trims, but it's in no way a compromise when you consider the capabilities included. Everything is above average with this car, from under the hood to inside. Let's start with the engine - a 3.6L V6 gas that clocks 292 horsepower at 6350 RPM is surely nothing to sneeze at. 260 lb-ft of torque at 4800 RPM and an eight-speed automatic transmission should do the job well, too.
Although it has a slightly milder character than what you'll see in proceeding trim levels, the exterior still screams Dodge. 17-inch wheels allow this car to mix in with the crowd on the highway, while powerful rear-wheel drive gives it the freedom to break away from average sedans with ease. The 2023 Dodge SXT has quite a few fancy features for a base trim, including keyless entry, remote start, a seven-inch touchscreen, HD radio, a six-speaker sound system, and remote trunk release.
Standout Features:
Next up comes the GT - a slightly more expensive, albeit slightly more capable version of the SXT. This vehicle comes with the same 3.6L V6 gas engine as its counterpart but with a couple of tweaks to give it an extra oomph of performance. To be more specific, that's 300 horsepower at 6350 RPM and 264 lb-ft of torque at 4800 RPM. The GT also comes with sport suspension, 20-inch aluminum wheels, and hood scoops for some flair.
Inside, you'll see that the infotainment screen has gotten an upgrade with this trim, complete with Dodge Performance Pages. If your passengers are digging the tunes, you can trust that they'll be impressed with the HD radio and six-speaker Alpine audio system. For passengers who like to surf their screens, the Dodge Charger GT offers a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot as one of many standard tech features.
Standout Features:
The 2023 Charger R/T is comparable to the GT in several respects, being similar in size, wheel height, and exterior character, and offering many of the same on-board tech features. Where it differs most is performance. Dodge put extra work into the powertrain when designing this car. The 5.7L V8 gas engine is capable of churning out 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque, allowing for a 0-60 sprint in just 5.5 seconds. The dash touts a new 160-mph speedometer and special badging, while active exhaust makes for a bold rumble every time you hit the gas. This vehicle hones a lot of power in a relatively compact package, making it ideal for those who want a thrilling yet practical driving experience.
Standout Features:
If you're in the market for something with a little bit more power, consider the 2023 Dodge Charger Scat Pack. This trim is a brand staple for good reason - and that reason is performance. It features a strong 6.4-litre V8 engine capable of delivering 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque at 6100 RPM and 4100 RPM, respectively. The eight-speed automatic transmission works hand-in-hand with high-performance suspension and rear-wheel drive to make for great handling and acceleration. Line lock and launch control make burnouts and sub-five-second 0-60 times easier to attain than ever before. And for those who like their speedometer to reach up into the triple digits, you'll be pleased to find a 180-mph gauge on this trim.
If and when you eventually decide to slow down, rest assured that the Scat Pack's four-piston fixed-caliper Brembo brakes will get the job done safely. Its comfy fabric-lined interior will keep passengers comfortable during rides of all distances and speeds, especially in the front row, where the seats are heated. Multi-zone A/C provides a pleasant cabin temperature on hot days, while the infotainment system with smart device compatibility offers plenty of apps and media to keep everyone entertained.
Standout Features:
As you might have guessed from its name, this trim mimics the classic Scat Pack in terms of overall look and feel. But it's obviously a lot wider, measuring 65.6 inches in width at the front and 65.3 inches in the back. The car is also slightly longer by one-fifth of an inch if that matters to you. The Widebody has the same 6.4-liter V8 engine with 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque as the non-Widebody version, but with a few additional goodies that bring the driving experience to the next level.
This is the only model in the 2023 Charger lineup to come with active suspension, giving the car better handling on tight corners. It also has a unique set of 20-inch wheels, bigger and bolder Brembo brakes, and upgrades to the interior with better materials for greater comfort while you’re on the move. The Scat Pack Widebody's fender flares and fascias are an excellent finishing touch on what is the ultimate iteration of this legendary muscle car.
Standout Features:
Anything but a regular four-door sedan, the SRT Hellcat Widebody Jailbreak delivers epitomized performance that tops off the 2023 Charger lineup in a big way. It touts a robust supercharged v8 engine capable of hitting 717 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. From 0-60 is just 3.6 seconds, the 200-mph red speedometer reminds you just how exceptional this car’s speed is. Fear of stopping is out of the question with the power Brembo brakes. With the stability and grip of a widebody design, you can carve your name through corners with confidence and ease.
Standout Features:
The SRT Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak is anything but ordinary from the aggressive blacked-out grille to the 20-inch wheels. Coming in at 797 hp and 707 lb-ft of torque, this 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8 engine is a predator dominating the road ahead. Want a smooth ride on the highway or racetrack? The Bilstein adaptive damping suspension adjusts to different road conditions, translating to complete and total domination wherever you go.
The heated and ventilated Laguna leather seats make every ride comfortable and talk about tech. Between the Harman Kardon sound system, and the premium Uconnect infotainment system, you will be sure to stay connected with crystal clear sound at all times.
Standard Features:
Paying homage to the classics is another reason buying a 2023 Dodge Charger is a smart move. The legacy of Dodge lives on in 4 special edition models with a special Last Call plaque stating where they were built. The special edition models include:
