The 2021 RAM 2500

The 2021 RAM 2500 parked in a field.

Are you looking for a heavy-duty truck from a brand name that you can trust? Do you want a pickup truck that’s fun to drive and has a powerful engine for towing? If so, then you need to get on over toPatriot CDJR of Pryor and check out the 2021 RAM 2500 truck today.

It’s made from one of the most trusted brands in the car industry, RAM, giving it instant credibility. It has everything you need in a truck—power, precision, and performance. See below for an in-depth guide on the 2021 RAM 2500truck and all of the available trim levels it offers.

Specifics on the 2021 RAM 2500

Even though it’s a new year and a new model, RAM fanatics have come to expect the same from the RAM 2500: reliability and power. The 2021 RAM certainly lives up to that expectation with all its available engines. The standard engine is a 6.4-liter V8 that packs 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft.
You also have the option to replace the standard engine with a 6.7-liter turbodiesel V8 engine with 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft, for those of you that need more hauling and towing power. The turbodiesel V8 can be installed on each trim except for the Power Wagon (as it comes standard on that trim).

Trim Levels Galore on the 2021 RAM 2500

Here’s what we at Patriot CDJR of Pryor love about the 2021 RAM 2500: it has no shortage of options. RAM made sure everyone has their veritable pick of seven different trim levels to ensure a perfect fit. These trim levels include the Tradesman, Big Horn, Lone Star, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, Limited, and Power Wagon. Let’s dive into a breakdown of each!

Tradesman

Starting with the base-level trim, the Tradesman (as its name would imply) is geared towards the modern-day worker. Outside, it offers the traditional black bumper, handles, and mirrors, as well as steel wheels (17-inches tall). Inside, you can look forward to such benefits as a push-button start, Bluetooth-ready entertainment, vinyl interior, a high-quality audio system (with six speakers), and a 12-volt outlet. The Tradesman also comes standard with hill start assist, a rearview camera, and trailer sway reduction technology.

Big Horn

This is one of the most sought-after RAM 2500 trim levels, and for good reason. The new 2021 RAM 2500 Big Horn offers the power and efficiency of the Tradesman, but with a more luxurious feel. Outside, you’ll have 18-inch steel wheels, a chrome grille, with bumpers and door handles that match the body paint. Inside, you can look forward to cloth seats (bench seat in the front), sound-reducing glass for a quiet cabin, and a place for storing your belongings safely in the center console.

Lone Star

The Lone Star and Big Horn are eerily like one another. They both offer the same comfort features as a step up to the Tradesman. If you’d like, you can invest in a safety package for your Lone Star, giving you access to safety features such as:
• Forward collision alerts
• Lane-Keep technology
• Adaptive cruise control
• Blind-sport alerts
• Digital rearview camera

Laramie

For those of you that want your RAM 2500 to look like a truck from the future, you’ll want to give the Laramie a hard look. Outside, it has LED lights, 18-inch aluminum wheels, and chrome mirrors. Inside is where the real party begins. It has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, and a 7-inch driver info display. The inside also features LED lighting for more energy efficiency, leather seats and steering wheel, an audio system with nine speakers, two gloveboxes, and power sliding back window. There are also 115-volt outlets in the front and back, a 400-watt inverter, and parking alert sensors on the nose and butt of the truck.

Longhorn

Just when you thought they couldn’t pack any more luxury features than the Laramie has, think again! The Longhorn trim offers LED projector lights in the front, as well as awesome chrome steps for a more futuristic look. Inside, you’ll gain access to leather seats, a leather/wood steering wheel, a Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation features, and heated seats in the second row. The truck bed of the 2021 RAM 2500 also sees a significant upgrade with a sprayed-on bed liner, remote tailgate controls, LED lighting (in the truck bed), and hooks.

Limited

If you’re looking for the most power possible in the 2021 RAM 2500, then the Limited is your choice! It has 20-inch wheels for more towing support, tow hooks, and storage bins in the truck bed. Inside also has some nice additions in the form of a wireless charging pad for your phone and a 12-inch infotainment screen. Safety features such as blind-spot alerts and cross-path alerts come standard.

Power Wagon

Finally, we have the Power Wagon. As the name would imply, this trim level offers high-performance and off-roading capabilities. To take the path less taken, it has standard hill descent control, higher grade shock absorbers, skid plates underneath, and locking axels in the front and back. The exterior is noticeably different as well, with black headlights and taillights, black fender flares, and all-terrain tires for more grip and control on tough terrain.
